I am a registered clinical and educational psychologist. I provide therapy, assessments, and consultation for children, adolescents, families, and adults. My services can be provided in English or American Sign Language (ASL).
In addition to private practice, I am the psychologist for the Provincial Schools Branch of the Ministry of Education. This encompasses the demonstration schools for students with severe learning disabilities, schools for the Deaf, and school for the Blind. In this role, I am a member of the Association of Chief Psychologists of Ontario School Boards, and participated in the subcommittee for standardizing the diagnosis and identification of learning disabilities throughout Ontario. I provide psychological (i.e. mental health) and psychoeducational (i.e. learning skills) assessments for students from kindergarten through graduate school.
My doctorate is in clinical psychology, with additional training in services for children and adolescents. I am registered with the College of Psychologists of Ontario. I am a member of the Ontario Psychological Association, American Psychological Association, Society of Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology, Canadian Society of Clinical Hypnosis, and Mensa.
Prior to my work in private practice and with the Ministry, I provided hospital and outpatient services at the University of Illinois Family Clinic (Chicago), Ravenswood Hospital (Chicago), Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center (Chicago), and Gallaudet University (Washington, DC). I also taught undergraduate students at Columbia College Chicago (a university in the US).
I have additional training and experience in providing fair and valid services for people who are Deaf, Blind, and Deafblind. I have experience working with clients who span a wide range of cultural backgrounds, religions, orientations, gender identities, and abilities. You are encouraged to ask me about my knowledge and familiarity with your own background and individual needs.
